Hi I'm Kirstie,
Soaping Station all started when I was a teen, and experimenting with beauty products.
I decided to have a go at making bath bombs.
I could never master the technique needed, so I learnt and gained the knowledge needed.
I started in kitchen until I out grew the kitchen, which then moved into the summer house at the bottom of the garden. It was nicknamed "The Soaping Station", and that is how I got my name.
The summer house became unpractical with holes in the roof and no way of stopping creepy crawlies from getting in.
I was trying to find a solution when a shop availability came up. It was an offer I couldn’t refuse and everything was happening so fast. I didn’t know how to run a shop, but I learnt along the way.
The shop went from strength to strength, however due to the Cost of Living Crisis, and forever rising business rates... I am now back to working from home.
As the world goes through this Financial Crisis every business has to diversify and adapt to survive. So to continue to keep doing what I love, I'm moving the business back home.
You can expect the same fabulous and colourful service as normal.....
I'm hoping that as the economy stabilises in the future - Soaping Station can return to the High Street again!
I would like to give thanks to the support of friends and family, of which none of this could have happened, and I'm enterally grateful and humbled by the love and support from them.
